What I made the other day

So, the other day I made some new tack. Halters to be correct. For my Schleich (and Bullyland) horses. I also finised some rugs that I had started earlier. Couple of stitches here and straps there and here you go. Enjoy (or not ;) )

I start with one of the hardest things I have done jet for my models. A realistic (as possible) headcollar for Schleich falabella gelding Brutus.
Some of the foals got to try out my new foal-halters. You can see that thees are made different than halters for adult horses. I like this way better as they sit better on those tiney heads. That has been proved several times on real life. We used to make that kind of foal halters in a stable I worked for a while.
Master and Emir are showing you some new cooler/sweat/fly rugs. Masters rug is entirely of net-like fabric what makes it good for hot days. It has fleece lining and adjustable buckle in front. Emir has a combo-rug. It has fleece on chest and back to keep thees muscles warmer while drying but it also has sides with extra airflow to cool down the horse quicker.
Tinto got to try out this new winter rug. It is waterproof and has fleece inner fabric. It also has a tail flap on it.
Yasmine tries out a thick stable rug that was made years ago but now adjusted. I also added this red, removable girth to this rug to keep it in place better. Her red headcollar is from endurance set that I have shown here before.
Heinrich (Bullyland black forest stallion) and Millenium (Schleich shire gelding) are showing off a rainrug with red inner fabric and red straps. This was made together with
my sister. She did the job on sewing machine. And I added straps and fleece to the withers. It turned out real odd as neither of us tought how thees fabriks work together. Not well I can say now. Brown headcollar on Heinrich has been fatured on this blog before (then shown by Millenium) but I wanted to make one special headcollar to Millenium. Something tough looking and suitable for a giant like him. Thats where he got hes NEW red headcollar.

A rearing gray project

She or he has been like that for a while. I think I will wash that white paint off. Even out the seams and give him/her some parts that will make it possible to make the difference of gender. Then put new white on and then start experimenting with pastels. But before all that. I think it´s time to dive into my box of miniatures and SMs to pick up some "lab rats"....

Red endurance set

I quickly created this set of combo bridle and treeless saddle yesterday evening.
I had an accident with my glue, that caused some glue marks on the saddle. It was my 2th attempt to make treeless saddle. First one is also red and made yesterday. I totally failed with the first attempt but I like this one. Next time I hope to make few more improvements.

Model horse show-halter

This peace of tack turned out pretty good, i think. Its size can be changed from poll. It fits most Schleich horses. Even the shetland gelding looks good on it.

Bittless bridle for Schleich models

I like this bridle although it turned out little rough. It fits most Schleich horses. And is here shown on my Schleich quarter horse mare Cherry Blossom. She is special as this model is no longer manufactured. And as Hõbelauk shows, this bridle fits nicely to some other horses also.

A weird looking saddle

This is more a toy peace than model horse tack. Turned out really weird. I glued the peaces together lately but it had been cut out couple of years ago.

Show halter with beads

This is a peace to be ashamed. I made it just couple of days ago and it turned out hideous.

Yellow tack set.

This is amazing set. I found it from my mothers garage. I think I might have been only about 12 when I made it. And it is still in good condition.
This set includes a brown saddle, yellow fleece rug, saddle cloth, seat saver and four pandages.
This set fits most classics scale horses.

CM stablemate thoroughbred - Lionheart Jim KF - with racing tack

This is a custom painted stablemate scale model. Manufacturer is unknown but he is molded in 1997. I painted him in 2011. Hes tack was made several years ago and can be removed and used for other models from same scale. Over-girth is just braided and tied together as I did not have anything better for that.
Both tack and horse are painted with acrylic paint.

CM thoroughbred Golden Way KF

*Golden Way KF* is originally Bandai palomino stallion molded in 1989. I repainted him and tried to fix him early in 2011. He is painted with acrylic paint and turned out really weird as hes rubbery face had collapsed from one side and he had some other minor flaws. He now could be used for photo shows if pictures taken from right angle.
Hes rugs I made also years ago. In my childhood. He has three different rugs. All on top of each other on thees pictures.
He is about 1:20 scale model.
